"Shooting at Football Game"

West Valley – On Friday, November 3, 2000 at approximately 10:00 p.m., a 17 year-old, African American student at Taft High School, located at the 20000 Block of Ventura Boulevard, was shot as he was walking toward his bus after a football game. The victim said he heard a shot and realized he had been stuck in the right shoulder.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by a friend and is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting may be gang- related.
