LAPD “Just Say No” Campaign Rally at Reseda High School’s award winning Police Academy Magnet (PAM)

WHO:
LAPD Baseball Team Members 200 students, Teachers, and Staff

WHY:
This event is presented to Reseda High School’s Award-winning Police Academy Magnet (PAM) as an acknowledgement of their efforts in adopting our “Just Say No” Pledge Campaign at their school. The 200 student cadets with the encouragement of their instructors, School Police Officer Andrea Galindo and LAPD Officer Juan Soriano, have written pledges about the importance of saying no to drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying. This rally is a positive way to help the cadets interact with Police Officers and community mentors whose entire mission is to positively impact the lives of our youth.

DETAILS:
11:30 – Introductions of Special Guests 11:40- Discussions w/ students about the importance of saying no to drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying. 11:55- All students recite LAPD Baseball Team’s “Just Say No” pledge. 12:00 – Baseball Semi-Skills Clinic (Instructed by LAPD Baseball Team Members) Contests (Hula hoop contests, dance move contests, and drawings for great prizes) *Contests and prize drawings will continue until event ends.
