"Automobile Collides With a Pedestrian, Resulting in Death"

Wilshire – On Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at 4:00 p.m., an Automobile versus Pedestrian traffic collision occurred at Wilshire Boulevard and Highland Avenue. A motorist, traveling eastbound on Wilshire Boulevard, swerved out of control, while attempting to take evasive action, and collided with a pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk. The pedestrian, a 40-Year old male, sustained major trauma. The victim was transported by a Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
