The victim was identified as Dejon Ward from Victorville. On July 12, 2013, around 12:45 p.m., he found himself lost in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Venice Boulevard. He parked his car to check his map when he was approached by two suspects. After the fatal shooting, the suspects left the scene in silver Nissan Armada SUV.  Detectives released the video footage of the suspects (at the bottom) and it is available at www.lapdtv.org 

Los Angeles:  A Los Angeles man was shot and killed Friday afternoon while sitting in his car.

On July 12, 2013, around 12:45 p.m., in the area of Venice Boulevard and 12th street, a man was approached by a person on foot, was shot and killed while seated in his car.   

Detectives are still investigating the possible motive for this murder.  The suspect is considered armed, dangerous and was last seen in a silver Nissan Armada.  The identification of the victim will not be released until immediate family is notified.
