Los Angeles: On February 20, 2005, at about 2:10 a.m., the victim, Miguel Fernandez, 36-years-old, drove home after work. He parked on the curb in front of his house and, as he walked to his front door, a male suspect approached on foot and shot him. Fernandez suffered a gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The City of Los Angeles is offering a $50,000 reward for the killer. The suspect was described as a male Black, 5′ 6″/5′ 9″, thin build.
The motive for the killing is unknown.

Fernandez’ family members will be present at the news conference.
