WHAT: Join the new and updated 77th Street Area PAL Program

WHEN: Thursday, April 9, 2015 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

WHERE: Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center 1535 West 62nd Street Los Angeles, California 90047

WHO: 77th Street Area Community Relations Officers Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center staff members

WHY: In an effort to continue their partnership with the community, particularly the youth, 77th Area is partnering with Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center to provide youth with positive alternatives to combat gang violence in the area. This collaboration will help bring additional resources for the youth and will increase the possibility of developing community leaders and positive role models. 77th Area strongly believes that a positive relationship between law enforcement professionals and the youth is critical to the success of the community.

The new updated PAL program will feature martial arts introduction classes, tutoring, leadership classes and nutrition classes. As the program develops and grows, more activities will be added. Police officers will be onsite to interact and help mentor our youth.

Come join our PAL program at Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center, as well as other already established activities at Jackie Tatum / Harvard Recreation Center. These established activities include baseball, aerobics, Zumba, tennis and yoga classes.
