"Homicide Detectives Seeking Witnesses to a Murder"
Los Angeles – On Monday, October 23, 2000 at approximately 1:00 a.m, Southwest Division patrol officers responded to an "ambulance shooting" call in the 4200 block of Western Avenue. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found victim Reginald Millsaps described as a 20 year-old male African-American, lying near the rear entrance of a building he was employed to protect. Mr. Millsaps was employed as a uniformed security officer for Burns International Security services. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the torso.
The suspect responsible for this incident has not been identified. The motive at this stage of the investigation is unknown.
