"Argument Erupts in Gunfire at Local Nightclub"

North Hills – On Sunday, November 5, 2000, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Devonshire Area patrol officers received a radio call of a shooting in progress to the rear of a nightclub located in the 8300 block of Sepulveda Blvd, in North Hills. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics discovered three victims lying in the rear parking lot of the nightclub suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims, described only as male Hispanics, are not being identified, pending notification of their next of kin.

All three victims were transported to local area hospitals where they received treatment for their gunshot wounds. One of the victims is in extremely critical condition, while the other two victims have been listed in critical, but stable condition.

Witness accounts indicated that earlier in the evening a dispute of unknown origin erupted inside the dance club between the three victims and a second group of four male Hispanics. Individuals involved in the altercation were escorted out of the club and approximately ten minutes later, several gunshots were heard behind the club. Employees of the nightclub went to the rear parking lot to investigate, where they discovered the three male Hispanic victims.

The suspects fled the scene by unknown means and in an unknown direction. The suspects have not been identified and the motive for the multiple shooting remains under investigation.
