Traffic Collision Claims Life

Van Nuys – On Monday, November 6, 2000, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 21-year-old resident of Panorama City, Jose Lopez was traveling northbound on Woodman Avenue near Strathern Street in his 1991 Nissan. Mr. Lopez became involved in a traffic collision at Strathern Street with a 1994 Geo Prizm driven by a female Hispanic, 49-years-old, also a Panorama City resident. The female victim of the collision was transported to a local hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries. The female’s name is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
