"Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Homicide Victim"
Los Angeles: Robbery-Homicide Division is requesting assistance from the community in identifying the victim of a homicide that occurred on December 21, 2000, at approximately 3:10 p.m. A composite drawing of the victim has been completed and will be made available to the media today at a press conference scheduled for 2 p.m. in front of Southeast Community Police Station, 145 W. 108th Street, Los Angeles. Captain James Tatreau, Commanding Officer, Robbery-Homicide Division, and detectives handling the case will attend this press conference.
The victim’s body was discovered in the alley, to the rear of 1714 East 113th Street. The cause of death was due to traumatic injuries to the upper body. The motive for the crime has not been determined and there are no suspects in custody.
The victim is described as a Female, African-American, approximately 50 years-of-age, 5′ 6" tall, 225 pounds, gray/blond hair and brown eyes.
