The Central Traffic Division is staffed by 150 sworn and civilian members of the police department. It is responsible for traffic enforcement and collision investigation for all of Central Bureau, which includes Central, Northeast, Hollenbeck, Newton, and Rampart Areas – a total of 1,139 street miles.
