Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying any additional victims of a man recently arrested for molesting a young boy in a Fairfax-area apartment gym.
Detectives, assigned to the Wilshire Police Station, arrested 43-year-old Ludovic Cremers yesterday, following a three-week investigation into allegations of molesting a 13-year-old boy in late July. Cremers posted $100,000 cash for his bail today and was released from the Wilshire Police Station.
"Mr. Cremers has no criminal history that we know of locally, but he’s only been in the Los Angeles area a short while," said Lieutenant Paul Vernon. "We are releasing his photograph as a way to see if there are any more victims."
In early August, management of the Palazzo at Park La Brea, an exclusive condominium complex in the Fairfax area, reported that two witnesses had seen inappropriate acts by Cremers in the complex’s gymnasium. Detectives located the minor victim, who confirmed the acts.
Detectives arrested Cremers yesterday after the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office agreed to file one count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
According to witnesses, Cremers was seen performing a sexual act in a shower in plain view of the boy, who was sitting in a nearby jacuzzi. Cremers sat down next to the boy in the jacuzzi and reached toward the boy’s groin under the water. The victim later confirmed that Cremers also tried to place the boy’s hand on Cremers’ groin.
Cremers is a native of Holland who is in the United States on a work visa. He works in marketing for a large entertainment company, and he last lived in Kentucky.
