WHY:
Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. There are 38 males and 4 females in the graduating class. The ethnic breakdown of the class is 10 Caucasians, 24 Hispanics, 7 African Americans, and 1 Chinese.
Four Los Angeles World Airport Officers and one Los Angeles Port Police Officer will also be graduating.
Chief Bratton will honor the oldest surviving 96-year old retired LAPD officer along with the youngest officer at age 21, during the graduation ceremony.
