Los Angeles: A drive-by shooting leads to the death of a teen in North Hollywood.
On January 10, 2009, at around 2:30 p.m., North Hollywood patrol officers received a call of a shooting in the 7200 block of Vineland Avenue. Responding officers arrived and found a teenage victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim had been walking in the area of Cantlay Street and Vineland Avenue when two suspects drove up to the victim in a compact, grey vehicle. The passenger fired several rounds from an unknown type of firearm, striking the victim. The suspects were last seen driving southbound on Vineland Avenue toward Sherman Way.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment but has died from his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 14-year old, Baudelio Guadalupe Jara, resident of North Hollywood.
