WHY:
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 50 police officers, with 39 males and 11 females. The ethnic breakdown of the class is as follows: 15 Caucasians, 34 Hispanics, 1 Chinese. Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. Among the graduates are one Los Angeles Port police officer and the Airport police officers.
