Northeast Robbery detectives are investigating the attempt kidnapping of a 14-year-old student from Thomas Starr King Middle School.

On April 8, 2008, at around 7:00 a.m., the young female was walking to school on the 1100 block of Hoover Avenue in the East Hollywood area of Los Angeles. The suspect exited his vehicle and followed the victim.  The suspect grabbed her from behind and the victim yelled for help.  The victim was able to get away from the suspect’s hold and ran for safety.  She immediately notified school administrators who then called the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years of age.  He stands 5-6/5-7 and weighs approximately 130/140 lbs.   His car was described as a dark grey, 2008-2009, 2-door Honda Accord.

A composite drawing of the suspect will be made public during the news conference.
