Police and Family Seek Help Finding Missing Student NR09447ah

On September 12, 2009, Mejia-Garcia was located in the Chinatown and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment not related to this missing incident.

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and family members are asking for help finding a student who was last seen on a local college campus on September 3, 2009.

Dario Enrique Mejia-Garcia, a 20-year-old international student was last seen at 3 p.m., on the campus of Los Angeles City College near the International Students Desk.  Mejia-Garcia was wearing a white T-shirt, orange pants and white sneakers. He has dark hair in an unkempt style, brown eyes, stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds.  He has two distinctive features: a large colored tattoo of a tree on the right side of his neck and three fingers on his left hand, a condition he was born with.

Mejia-Garcia is from Colombia and is attending college on a student visa.  He previously attended classes at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood and was awarded a guitar scholarship by the Los Angeles Music Academy.
