Boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 were selected from Los Angeles City schools to participate in the program that involved LAPD officers teaching football skills to the participants, with the primary goal of mentoring life skills.
Though the prior mentoring sessions were for selected participants only, the “Punt Pass Kick Contest” is open to any City youth between the ages of 8 and 15. Participants must be able to provide proof of birth between 1994-2000, wear gym shoes (soft soles only) with no cleats and have a parent’s written permission to participate.
