Why:    
To encourage any community members who may have critical information about the case to come forward.

The 15-year-old murder victim, Luis Eduardo Perez, was brutally killed on the evening of Dec. 7, 2009, when he was shot several times on East Cesar Chavez Avenue.  The  victim’s family and LAPD detectives hope that a reward of $50,000 offered through the office of District 14 Los Angeles City Councilman José Huizar will provide leads in the case from assistance within the community.

NOTE:
Detectives will be providing surveillance video footage of the suspect.
