Robbery of Metro PCS Stores Caught on Tape NR10008bb

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is searching for two suspects who robbed a couple of Metro PCS stores in south Los Angeles on December 30, 2009. At around 12:25 p.m. a female pointing a handgun entered a Metro PCS store in the area of Avalon Boulevard and Vernon Avenue. A store employee wrestled the gun away from the suspect. The suspect ran away from the scene.

Three hours later, the same female suspect, along with a male accomplice, entered a different Metro PCS store in the area of Vernon Avenue and Main Street. The male suspect pointed a handgun at the store employee and demanded money as the female suspect opened the register and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects ran from the store.

The first suspect is described as a female Black, about 18 years-old, 5 feet 3inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. The second is described as a male Black, about 22 years-old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 160 pounds, and has brown hair, and brown eyes.
