Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects who were involved yesterday evening in a shooting in the City of Los Angeles.
At around 5:15 p.m., yesterday evening LAPD Olympic Area officers responded to a radio call in the 900 block of Westmoreland Avenue. Officers discovered the victim, 26-year-old Sergio Hernandez with a gunshot wound to the head.
According to detectives, Hernandez was using the payphone when the suspect approached and shot him. The suspect left in an awaiting black sedan driven by a get-away driver. Both suspects left in an unknown direction and have not yet been identified.
Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. First suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 18-22 years of age. Second suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 18-22 years of age.
