Korea Town Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision

According to detectives, the suspect’s car was a 4-door, white Toyota Camry and believed to have a damaged windshield on the right side.  The driver was a possible male Korean, and he might have taken the Camry for repair.

Los Angeles: On May 17, 2010, at around 11:30 p.m., a fatal hit-and run traffic incident occurred in the Korea Town area when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking northbound on Olympic Boulevard east of Manhattan Place.  

A suspect driving an unknown white sedan traveling westbound on Olympic Boulevard hit a 61-year-old Black female pedestrian and continued driving.  The impact proved to be fatal, and the driver failed to stop and render aid as required by law.
 
The victim was identified by a coroner’s investigator; however, her identity will not be released until her family has been notified.
