Mother Sought in the Abduction of 13 month-old Boy
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Area (LAPD) and the father of 13 month-old Bryan Bazan is requesting the public’s help in locating him.
Bryan’s father, Mr. Bazan, has sole legal custody of 13 month old Bryan. On Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at around 7:00 p.m., Mr. Bazan allowed Bryan’s mother, Wendy Cervantes, to spend visitation time with Bryan with the understanding that Bryan be returned home to Mr Bazan June 4, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. When Bryan was not returned, Mr. Bazan tried many times to contact Bryan’s mother by phone to no avail. Mr. Bazan went to Wendy’s residence in the Van Nuys area and it was empty. Mr. Bazan began calling family members. During a call to a relative, Mr. Bazan received information that Bryan’s mother fled to Mexico with Bryan. Mr Bazan went directly to the Van Nuys Police Station to report his son missing. Bryan’s mother has close family ties in Mexico.
Bryan is described as a male Hispanic, light complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He was last wearing a white/red shirt, brown shorts and blue shoes.
The suspect, Wendy Cervantes, is described as a female Hispanic, brown hair, green eyes, 5’01” in height, 170 pounds and is 19 years-old.
