Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on July 8, 2011, at 12:29 a.m., at the intersection of Cahuenga and Barham Boulevards.
The collision occurred when a 41- year-old Van Nuys resident was riding his 1990 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Cahuenga Boulevard. A 52-year-old La Crescenta resident, Maxime Desire, was turning left from eastbound Cahuenga Boulevard onto northbound Barham Boulevard in front of the motorcyclist. The motorcycle collided with the right side of Desire’s 2003 Honda Accord and the rider was ejected onto the roadway. The motorcyclist was transported by the Los Angeles City Fire Department to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of family members.
