Los Angeles: A 52-year-old Canoga Park resident was killed late Friday night, while crossing the street.
On July 15, 2011, at about 11:15 p.m., a 52-year-old male Hispanic from Canoga Park was walking northbound from the southwest corner to the northwest corner of Jordan Avenue and Saticoy Street in an unmarked crosswalk. A vehicle described as a light colored sports utility vehicle (SUV) or white pick-up truck with a camper shell, was travelling westbound on Saticoy Street when it hit the victim and continued westbound. The driver failed to stop and render aid and identify themselves as required by law.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. His identity is being withheld until his family can be located and notified.
