WHY:
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 21 police officers, with 15 males and 6 females.  The ethnic breakdown of the graduates is as follows: 6 Caucasians, 11 Hispanics, one Asian (non-Korean), two African Americans and one Filipino.  Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
