Los Angeles:   Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed 23-year old Oscar Duncan, a Venice resident.

On Monday, June 4, 2012, at 10:30 p.m., Pacific Area Officers responded to a call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the 600 block of Santa Clara Avenue, in Venice.  When the officers arrived, they found Duncan lying on the roadway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported Duncan to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detectives believe that a white vehicle, no further description, approached Duncan as he was walking on Santa Clara Avenue, just before 10:30 p.m. The vehicle stopped in the roadway near Duncan when one of the occupants shot Duncan as he stood in the roadway.  

The motive for this shooting is unknown.  There is no description on the suspects at this time.
