Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide detectives are asking for the publics’ help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect responsible for the death of 24-year-old Joe David Lobos.
On Friday, June 29, 2012, around 12:51 a.m., Hollenbeck Patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at Olympic Boulevard and Dacotah Street. When officers arrived, they found Lobos in his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced Lobos dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the victim was returning home from work and had stopped at an intersection near his home when an unknown suspect approached his vehicle. The suspect, armed with a handgun, opened fire, striking Lobos multiple times. The motive for the killing is unknown.
