Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed 29-year-old Angel Ramirez.
On Saturday, September 29, 2012, around 3:50 p.m., Ramirez was standing in the driveway of his apartment in the 4600 block of Valley Boulevard, speaking with his landlord, when the suspect approached from behind and fired multiple rounds striking Ramirez. The suspect then fled through the apartment complex to an awaiting vehicle parked on a side street.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced Ramirez dead at scene. The motive for the shooting appears to be gang related. There is no suspect description. The suspects and the weapon are outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
