Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Hollenbeck Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who robbed a woman and took her gold necklace.
On April 8, 2013, around 6 p.m., a man walked up to the victim and pulled her gold chain from her neck. The crime occurred in the area of east 8th Street and Evergreen Avenue. The suspect was last seen running from the scene with the victim’s property. Nearby surveillance cameras show the suspect arriving in a dark-blue Chevrolet Blazer, taking the victim’s gold chain and fleeing the location in the same vehicle.
The suspect is described as a 30 to 35-year-old male Hispanic, standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a
1993-1995 dark-blue Chevrolet Blazer with mag rims, chrome door handles, and side-view mirrors.
Detectives believe the suspect may be responsible for other similar crimes in the area.
