The Gone Plaid Bandit Captured on Camera NR13169rh

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Robbery Homicide Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect who committed a series of bank robberies.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are currently investigating a series of bank robberies committed by a suspect dubbed the Gone Plaid Bandit.  The suspect’s crime spree began in 2010 in the Orange County area and continued yearly, targeting banks in Orange County and the Los Angeles Area.

On April 2013, the suspect committed four bank robberies in Yorba Linda, Laguna Niguel and the Los Angeles Area.

On April 26, 2013, around 10:20 a.m., the suspect entered a bank located in the 4000 block of Lincoln Boulevard in the Los Angeles Area.  The following day around 9:45 a.m., he went inside another bank located in the 100 block of North Larchmont Drive in the Los Angeles Area.

The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, 25 to 35 years of age, between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 170-190 pounds. The suspect is armed and dangerous.
