Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang/Homicide Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed 14-year-old Elawnza Peebles.
On November 9, 2013, around 9:40 p.m., Peebles was shot in the 4600 block of Kansas Avenue by unknown suspect(s). After been struck by the gunfire he ran to a nearby driveway and collapsed.
Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Peebles to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Peebles recently moved to the neighborhood and lived only a few blocks from the crime scene.
According to Detectives the motive is unknown. The suspect(s) and weapon are outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
