Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives are requesting the publics’ help in identifying the hit-and-run suspect responsible for the severe injury of a pedestrian.
On Monday, November 11, 2013, around 2:15 p.m., the victim was crossing north on 7th Street at the intersection of Carondelet Street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on 7th Street. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without identifying himself or rendering aid to the victim, a violation of 20001(A) VC, Hit and Run. The suspect vehicle is described as a late model Honda SUV or van, black in color. The driver is described as a male, unknown decent.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. He suffered severe head injuries and is listed in critical condition. His identity is unknown and described as a male Hispanic, in his late 50’s or early 60’s.
