The sergeant went to aid the victim and discovered that he was suffering from a stab wound.  The victim was able to tell the Sergeant that he had been attacked at the nearby gas station at the intersection of Coliseum Street and La Brea Avenue.

Mr. Davis was transported to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics where he died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives have been unable to identify any witnesses to this brutal assault and they are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

VISUALS:
Surveillance video of the victim prior to the assault will be available for the media.
