The homicide victim from April 6, 2014 has been positively identified as 20 year old Brian Ramirez of North Hollywood. Detectives are continuing to seek a motive for the crime and are asking the public’s assistance.
Van Nuys: Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed a 20-year-old male Hispanic.
On April 6, 2014, around 1:45 a.m., Van Nuys uniformed patrol officers received numerous radio calls of shots being fired in the area of Lemay Street and Kester Avenue. Once officers arrived, they were directed by residents to the underground parking garage in the 6700 block of Kester Avenue and found the victim lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the torso.
Los Angeles Fire Paramedics personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification to next of kin.
There is no suspect description and the investigation is still ongoing.
