The LAPD Cadet Program is a highly successful youth program that spans each police division within the City of Los Angeles.  Currently, thousands of LAPD Cadets are assigned to provide the police department with assistance in events, community projects and crime prevention programs.  Many of the young men and women have a desire to become police officers themselves.  Similar to the LAPD organization, the LAPD Cadet Program maintains a command staff that includes newly promoted Chief Cadet Laura Isabel Mendoza who will be formally introduced to the Los Angeles Police Commission.
Chief Cadet Laura Isabel Mendoza will be available for interviews following the scheduled LAPD Police Commission Meeting.
