Pedestrian Seriously Injured by Hit-And-Run Driver NR15018lp

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Sunday, January 18, 2015, around 7:50 p.m., Central Traffic Division officers responded to a hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred at the 3400 block of South Broadway Street. The victim, a male Hispanic who has not been identified, was crossing Broadway Street when he was struck by what witnesses described as a black 2000 Chevrolet Camaro. The driver of the Camaro stopped momentarily to check on the victim and then was seen driving away northbound on Broadway Street to Jefferson Boulevard. The driver was described as a male Black in his 30s, standing approximately 5’10” tall and weighing 220 pounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
