On Friday, February 27, 2015, at approximately 8:20 PM., Chapman was struck by a vehicle while crossing Saticoy Street at Lemp Avenue, in the San Fernando Valley. Tragically, Chapman died of her injuries at a scene.
The vehicle is described as a white 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck with damage to the front left portion of the vehicle. The driver sped away from the scene without stopping, providing identification or rendering aid.
