WHY: The objective of the conference is to provide information and enhance overall awareness regarding women’s rights and civic responsibility. The goal of the organization is to empower, inform, and educate women with requisite skills and knowledge to participate politically and socially in their communities, while providing support and guidance to peers.

This year’s topic is: American Muslims and Their Crucial Role in Countering Violent Extremism. Attendees will be able to meet Muslims and experts from all spheres of life and ask questions pertaining to Islam, Violent Extremism, and women’s rights. The event will be followed by an Empowerment Bazaar which will showcase American Muslim women and their efforts to engage, inform, and integrate into the fabric of mainstream America.

Greater participation in community governance will help create an environment where Muslim women can come together and contribute to the discourse against biased interpretations of Islam and women’s rights.
