17-year-old Killed in Westchester NR15150lp

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a 17-year-old in Westchester.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 around 8:50 p.m. officers from the Pacific Area responded to a call of a shooting in the 5700 block of Manchester Boulevard, in front of a liquor store. When the officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old juvenile unresponsive. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification to his next of kin.

Witnesses told detectives that there was a second unidentified victim who was near the entrance of the liquor store when the suspect approached and fired several rounds at both victims. The suspect left the scene on foot heading southbound on Ramsgate Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, seen wearing a dark hoodie.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation and the murder weapon is still outstanding.
