WHO: Law Enforcement Officers and Friends of Officer Oscar Joel Bryant
WHY: Officer Oscar Joel Bryant was shot and killed during a robbery on May 13, 1968. He was the first African-American officer to be awarded the Department’s Medal of Valor. For the past 47 years law enforcement officers and friends of Officer Bryant have met at his grave site to honor and remember him.
