Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision, which left 72-yr-old Jung Taek Nam dead.
On January 7, 2016, around 5:30 a.m., a vehicle was travelling southbound on Vermont Avenue when it collided with Nam, who was walking eastbound Francisco Street in an unmarked crosswalk. The motorist failed to stop to render aid or identify himself as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene where Nam was pronounced dead.
The suspect vehicle is possibly a dark blue or purple 2011-2014 Dodge Challenger.
A $50,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
