Pacoima: The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed 41-year-old Michael Mendibles, a resident of Pacoima.
On March 4, 2016, around 10:05 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of “Shots Fired” in the area of Vaughn Street and Borden Avenue, in the City of Pacoima. When officers arrived they found Mendibles on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced Mendibles dead at scene.
There is no suspect description and the motive is unknown.
