What: News Conference to announce a reward offer for information leading to the identification of a murder suspect.

When: Thursday, April 14, 2016 11:00 a.m.

Where: 77th Area Community Police Station 7600 South Broadway Los Angeles 90003 Community Room

Who: Detective Eric Crosson, Criminal Gang Homicide Division Family Members

Why: On March 25, 2016, Robert Ellis was standing with a group of people in front of a barbershop on the 5500 block of South Vermont Avenue. The suspect approached and opened fire on the group with a semi-automatic handgun. Mr. Ellis was struck by the gunfire and died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives will be releasing portions of a surveillance video of the incident. Mr. Ellis family will be available for a statement.
