Suspected Sexual Child Abuser Arrested NR16172aj

Los Angeles: Los Angeles
Police Department’s Sexually Exploited Child Unit (SECU), Juvenile
Division, conducted an investigation involving William Webb, an
assistant principal at Ramon C. Cortines High School of Visual and
Performing Arts.

The SECU detectives
assumed investigative responsibility in February 2015, after
receiving a Suspected Child Abuse Report (SCAR) alleging that a
prior student of Mr. Webb had been sexually abused by him while
Webb was assigned to Vista Middle School. The abuse began in 2006
when the victim was 14-years-old.

On May 17, 2016, the investigation resulted in the arrest of Mr.
Webb. His bail was set at $120,000. The Los Angeles District
Attorney’s Office has filed one count of 288(c)(1) PC -Lewd Acts
with a Child, one count of 288(A)(B)(1) PC- Oral Copulation, and
one count of 286(B)(1) PC- Sodomy.
