Los Angeles: A fatal hit and run traffic collision occurred on Western Avenue, north of Venice Boulevard.
On October 01, 2016, around 12:09 a.m., a male pedestrian was walking east across Western Avenue, crossing in the middle of the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Western Avenue, then struck a second time by a 2002 silver Toyota traveling north on Western Avenue. The first vehicle fled and the Toyota remained at scene. There is no description of the hit and run vehicle.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and the victim was pronounced dead at scene.
