WHAT: Command Staff from the Los Angeles Police Department continue an ongoing series of informal discussions with the residents of Los Angeles. Join us as we talk about important issues facing the people who live in the Central Bureau area of the LAPD. We will address the latest crime trends and discuss pertinent safety tips heading into the holiday season. We will also address any community concerns about our stance in regard to immigration. These forums are designed to strengthen the bond between the department and the Angelino’s who we serve.
WHY: The LAPD remains committed to its proven strategy of reducing violent crime and property offenses through community partnerships and community based policing efforts. By promoting fair and impartial policing based on constitutional policing principles, the LAPD has not only earned the public’s trust, but has built positive relationship that enable the most vulnerable in all communities regardless of immigration status to seek help when they are victims of a crime.
