Los Angeles: A hit and run collision occurred on Avalon Boulevard and 43rd Street.
On December 22, 2016 around 6:20 a.m., a pedestrian that was laid on the street was fatally struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Avalon Boulevard.
The vehicle continued traveling northbound and failed to stop and render aid as required by laws.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and the victim was pronounced dead at scene.
There is no description of the hit and run vehicle or the driver.
The victim is a 51-year-old female Hispanic and a resident of Los Angeles. Her name is being withheld pending verification of identity by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office.
