Hit and Run leaves 19-year-old in Serious Condition NR16403aj

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a hit and run that left 19-year-old Ryan Coreas in serious condition.

On December 28, 2016, around 11:10 p.m., Ryan Coreas was crossing Fletcher Drive, just south of Laclede Avenue, outside of a marked crosswalk. A gold or beige mini-van traveling southbound on Fletcher Drive collided with him. The driver of the mini-van never slowed down or stopped to render aid. The mini-van was also described as having a luggage rack on the roof.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Coreas to a local hospital. He is listed in serious condition.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
