LAPD Topanga Division Adopts Homeless Family NA16389aj

What: Los Angeles Police Department holiday event

Saturday, December 31, 2016 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Where: LAPD Topanga Station 21501 Schoenborn Street Canoga Park, California 91304

Who: LAPD Captain III Maureen Ryan, Topanga Area Commanding Officer LAPD Topanga Area officers

Why: Topanga Area adopted a homeless family with 2 small kids over the past month. Not only did Santa arrive with gifts for the kids, SLOs reached out to community via social media and got new tires and repair work for vehicle. Captain Ryan collected clothes for all the family and food and monetary donations from community members, Walmart and her personal friends and her own girls. It’s all about helping a family who for no fault of their own fell on hard times. Topanga wrapped their BLUE arms around this family and they are now able to hit the road to go home tomorrow morning.

Captain Ryan will be at Topanga at 5 pm to deliver items to family. Captain Ryan will be avail to media as will the family.
